i hope i keep the same bible forever, so that when im old and wrinkly, if i live till then, i can have it with me, and remember all the places it has come with me. and all the hardships it pulled me through, and all the miracles it shows me. and the worn, crinkly pages remind me of eternity, of wisdom, of compassion and endurance. although it is quite tempting to replace it with a shiny new one. oh, the ocdness that burns my soul!.
its amazing how easy it is to forget things! how is it so easy for us to remember insignificant details, while we forget the truth! oy. i am so easily distracted. i like exclamation points mucho.
humilitypoint: leaders feel pain. PAINN. for the first time this year, i felt pain at the reluctance, the giving in, the insincerity. and i realized; thats what its been like for somebody to watch me!. for God to watch me. how stupid, how shameless, how arrogant i am. and at the same time, thank god ive been stepped on to see it. pain because he died for us and we forget. we could care less. we refuse. not just death. suffering, pain humiliation, and he knew it was coming. he knew. so many places, times, temptations where he could have stood up and so no. and he didnt. why are we so stupid, so selfish. why are we so lucky. pain. the pain. its like your child turning against you.
